FOOD STYLING -

For 20 years, Kathryn has been making food and recipes look good enough to eat from the pages of books and magazines to food packaging and advertising.

“People often think my job sounds quite glamorous, but the days can be long and quite intense. Because magazines work so far in advance, I always find myself having to cook the roast turkey for a Christmas feature on a hot Summer day!”

Since moving to Scotland, Kathryn has worked with Nick Nairn, food styling for his healthy eating recipes for children in The Scotsman. She is a regular contributor to the cookery pages of the national magazine, My Weekly, published by Dundee-based DC Thomson. Kathryn works with the Scottish food industry to help promote the wealth of excellent produce on her doorstep. She has worked with large companies such as Baxter’s, Shetland Salmon, and Quality Meat Scotland, as well as local Perthshire food producers like Summer Harvest rapeseed oil.

Stuart MacGregor is a food photographer and works from a studio in their house in Crieff. Kathryn and Stuart currently work on several projects together. To see examples of Stuart's work go to www.stuartmacgregor.com
